Sorry I'm a little late with this.<div> <div>I want to put out my support for the <div>city council doing what it can to preserve local ag-lands and encourage </div><div>local / regional farming and food distribution.</div><div><br></div><div>Also I hope the council will continue aggressively planning for a more walkable/</div><div>bike-able, transit friendly community. We are headed for fossil fuel</div><div>austerity whether we like it or not. Communities who prepare for</div><div>a sustainable future in that context will be best positioned</div><div>for economic stability.</div><div> </div><div>The city should foster economic stability (not growth).</div><div>Meaning, we should foster local-regional vitality, not by inviting multi-national </div><div>corporations to town; but by nurturing local investment, local food production </div><div>and value added production of things that we need locally.
