The BID has committed to clearing snow from the separated bike lane but not
the sidewalks. We will attempt to plow alleys as well. The BID is available
for hire to plow businesses sidewalks if they desire. We will also be
putting some deicer down. Frankly all of the details have not been
completely worked out as some of the design work is still in progress. BID's
goal is to have the bike lane usable within 24 hours of a storm passing
through hopefully sooner.
We are currently looking a a different metering system on N Higgins.
Electronic gang meters are on our radar and this may be a great place to try
them.

I asked the winter maintenance question during the committee meeting. The
BID has committed to maintaining the sidewalks and bike lanes as well as the
alleys. They have fairly recently purchased equipment to handle the snow
removal and have a person to do this work as well as trying to keep up with
grafitti.
