Thank you for taking this over for Bob this week Marilyn.  This Blog is a
great way of keeping up with the goings on of City Hall.

Concerning the zoning rewrite, I do believe it is important to bring to
the General Public attention that the envelope method of height
measurement is the allowed measurement method for hillside development in
the current zoning ordinance.  It was adopted because the citizens of
Missoula did not want to look at tall downhill elevations of buildings
from the valley floor.  This method also allows elevations of buildings to
remain consistent and predictable from the street where most people see
the fronts of a buildings.
