ZERO TO THREE LAUNCHES WEBINAR SERIES

ZERO TO THREE's Policy Center is pleased to announce the launch of a series
of webinars/web-based conference calls for state policymakers, early
childhood advocates, and infant and toddler professionals across the
country. Four webinars will be held through September 2008 with support from
the Buffett Early Childhood Fund.

The first webinar, on February 28, will focus on creating, revising, and
implementing Early Learning Guidelines for infants and toddlers. This
webinar features the findings of two new reports: ZERO TO THREE's Early
Learning Guidelines for Infants and Toddlers: Recommendations to States, and
a report by Catherine Scott-Little and others, Inside the Content of
Infant-Toddler Early Learning Guidelines (soon to be released). 

Early Learning Guidelines describe what babies and toddlers should know and
be able to do. They have the potential to advance the field by influencing
how teachers and other caregivers support and interact with young children
at a time of unprecedented brain development. Currently over 20 states have
such guidelines for infants and toddlers, and others are developing them.
