Hi all:

Just a reminder that the KATC's 9th Autism Institute is right around
the corner-join June 5-7, 2008  at the Marriott Downtown, in Louisville.

Information on Continuing Education Units and Professional Development

TEACHERS:  Contact your local Board of Education and present your
certification of completion in order to receive professional development
credits for attending Autism Institute 2008.

INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP CREDITS:  APPROVED for effective instructional
leadership credits, not to exceed 12 hours (per 703KARSA3:325).

SOCIAL WORKERS:  APPROVED for a total of 18 hours for Licensed Clinical
Social Workers (LCSW), Certified Social Workers (CSW), and Licensed
Social Workers (LSW).

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS AND AUDIOLOGISTS:  Autism Institute
2008 is REGISTERED with ASHA and APPROVED by the Kentucky Board of
Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology for a total of 18 Contact Hours
(1.8 ASHA CEU's). You must complete the special form at the
Registration
Desk to receive your CEU’s.
 
PSYCHOLOGISTS:  APPROVED by the Kentucky Board of Psychology for a
total of 18 hours.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPISTS:  APPROVED for a total of 18 hours by
the Kentucky Board of Licensure of Marriage and Family Therapists.

PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS:  APPROVED for a total of 18 hours by the
Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.

EARLY CARE AND DAY CARE PROVIDERS:  Autism Institute 2008 is REGISTERED
with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services/Division of Child Care
and is APPROVED for 18 contact hours.  

NURSES:  Autism Institute 2008 was not reviewed by the Kentucky Board
of Nursing.  “Individual Requests for Review of CE Activity” forms
are available at the registration desk. 

PHYSICAL THERAPISTS:  APPROVED by the Kentucky Physical Therapy
Association for a total of 18 hours.  Approval # 1-IPKPTA-07-KPTA,
expiration date - April 2, 2009.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS:  APPROVED by the Kentucky Board of Licensure
for Occupational Therapy for a total of 18 hours.

ART THERAPISTS:  APPROVED by the Kentucky board of Certification for
Professional Art Therapists for a total of 18 Hrs.
