Action Alert! Respond to OSEP Proposed Data Collection Activity Requirements!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear CAN Coordinators:
On August 16, the Office of Special Education and
Rehabilitation Services issued a request for comments for the revision of the
implementation of FAPE requirements under IDEA Part B Section 618. The public is
invited to provide comments on
the revisions.
The comments for the proposed data collection revision are
due on Monday, October 15! CEC, in
conjunction with its Division on Early Childhood, has written comments for you
to submit through CEC's Legislative
Action Center. Simply go to the LAC to submit CEC's comments [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=azg4ofcab.0.qug4ofcab.uyqi69bab.9256&ts=S0289&p=http%3A%2F%2Fcapwiz.com%2Fcek%2Fissues%2Falert%2F%3Falertid%3D10421176].
We need as many people as
possible to submit comments because the Department of Education counts the
number of comments it receives on particular issues. Please send this to the members
of your CAN
network and urge them to submit comments as well!
If you would like to view the proposed data requirements, go
to http://edicsweb.ed.gov [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=azg4ofcab.0.rug4ofcab.uyqi69bab.9256&ts=S0289&p=http%3A%2F%2Fedicsweb.ed.gov%2F],
then select
"Browse Pending", then select link number 3427.
Sincerely,
CEC Policy and Advocacy Services
