CONFERENCE CALL -  PART C IDEA 2004 DRAFT REGULATIONS

DEC is sponsoring a series of conference calls to provide participants with
specific information on the draft regulations for the federal Part C, IDEA
2004 in preparation for public comment.

CONTENT: In this 90-minute call, participants will  have an opportunity to:
* Hear about the differences between the current Part C regulations and the
proposed changes described in the draft  regulations;
* Discuss aspects where participants might want to provide comment to the US
Department of Education; and
* Learn strategies for providing verbal or written public comment.
PRESENTERS: Sharon Walsh - DEC Governmental Relations Consultant; Bonnie
Keilty - DEC Governmental Relations  Committee Chair.

DATE/TIME: These calls will be held:
1. May 17, 2:00 p.m. EST (1:00 p.m.  CST; 12:00 p.m. MST; 11:00 a.m. PST)
2. May 17, 8:00 p.m. EST (7:00 p.m.  CST; 6:00 p.m. MST; 5:00 p.m. PST)
3. May 18, 10:00 a.m. EST (9:00  a.m. CST; 8:00 a.m. MST; 7:00 a.m. PST)

COST: FREE!  Hurry, as space is limited!  All participants will be
responsible for the cost of this long-distance phone call.

TO REGISTER: Please complete the attached registration form and fax to DEC
by May 14, 2007.

MATERIALS: Information about how to access written materials and the
conferencing line will be emailed to registrants (at the email address
provided on the registration form) on May 14, 2007.
