September 29, 2006, 2:00 PM ­ 4:00 PM (EST)
Presenter: Sharon Walsh, DEC Governmental Relations Consultant, will provide
an analysis of these new regulations implementing IDEA 2004 and guidance on
how it may influence programs for families of preschoolers with special
needs.
Content: The conference call will update participants on the changes made to
the federal Part B, including Section 619, regulations based on IDEA 2004.
Participants will have an opportunity to:
* Hear about the changes in regulations under IDEA 2004,
* Have their questions about these new regulations answered, and
* Discuss the implications of these new regulations on preschool special
education supports and services.
Cost: FREE for DEC members!  $20.00 for non-DEC members.  All participants
will be responsible (members and non-members) for the cost of this long
distance phone call.

* This presentation will not address questions about specific instructional
techniques or local implementation. Part C will not be covered on these
calls, but future conference calls are planned when the Part C regulations
are finalized.
