Get-Out-The-Vote Education IS a Priority ---- Special Educators Vote on
November 7!
Visit CEC's Legislative Action Center (http://capwiz.com/cek/e4/) for
information on:
* Candidates running for Congress (biographical information, positions on
issues, etc.)
* Voter registration information (this varies by state)
* Polling place locations
* Absentee voting information
* Key dates (e.g. deadline for registration)
Our goal is to make sure that CEC members have access to the tools needed to
vote on Election Day. CEC is non-partisan and does not support or oppose
any candidate and simply wants to provide its members with general
information needed to become active in the political process.
We have adopted the slogan: Education IS a Priority ---- Special Educators
Vote on November 7!
to stress the importance of education as a national priority and that
special educators are a constituency that votes on Election Day. CEC will
issue a membership-wide email later this month with this message and link to
the Legislative Action Center. Please start spreading this message to your
networks today! For sample language to use in your emails, see CEC's Public
Policy Update October 6:
