What¹s New in the Recently Released IDEA 2004 Part B Regulations?

This facilitated discussion will update participants on new and changed
aspects of the IDEA regulations for preschoolers, school age children with
disabilities and their families. Bring questions and points of discussion;
leave with the most recent information available.
What¹s Happening in Washington?

Get updates on federal early childhood policy! This annual panel
presentation provides a review of the activities of the last session of the
109th Congress, including Head Start reauthorization, current federal
funding, as well as planned activities of the 110th Congress. Federal
representatives will also provide updates on the latest initiatives of their
agencies.
Advocacy and You: Children¹s Action Network (CAN) and Governmental Relations
Committee
(Saturday, October 21st 12:30 PM 1:45 PM)
Meet face to face with others across the country advocating for young
children and their families. As the Governmental Relations Committee
continues to build a responsive CAN network, this session is an opportunity
for Subdivision leaders and others interested in advocacy to share their
efforts and meet and receive technical assistance from the Governmental
Relations Committee. Come with successful strategies to share as well as
issues to problem solve. Bring lunch; beverages and dessert will be
provided.
