Good afternoon. I wanted to follow up on yesterday's email that
provided information from CEC regarding the budget resolution passed by
the Senate Budget Committee. CEC is reporting today that Senators
Specter (R-PA) and Harkin (D-IA) plan to offer an amendment to the
resolution that would call for an additional $7 billion in funding for
education and healthcare. CEC i s requesting that members contact their
Senators and ask them support the Specter-Harking amendment. This can
easily be done by visiting CEC's Legislative Action Center
(http://capwiz.com/cek/home/) and clicking on the Action Alert. You can
send the prepared text or personalize with your own message. Thank you.
